I am a family photographer in Bath using natural or minimal lighting, and a relaxed approach, to capture those beautiful moments you will want to remember forever.
With three young children of my own I know how precious childhood and family time is. Children grow far too fast, and when they are all grown up I want to be able to look back at images of our family and be transported back to the special, funny, touching moments. Remembering tiny, chubby fingers and toes, the cheeky grin, a glint in the eye, or close, loving cuddles when only Mummy will do.
I have had a passion for photography for many years, particularly since travelling and photographing places such as The Bund in Shanghai, The Taj Mahal, Koala Bears in Australia, and Iguassu Falls in Argentina. Since having a family my subject of choice has naturally changed to my children. I love to capture the innocence, humour (mischief!), joy and essence of childhood in my pictures.
Aside from photography I like to try my hand at various crafts, occasionally producing something I'm proud of, I love anything vintage and combing flea markets and fairs (when I am not being trailed by my small people, which isn’t often these days let’s face it). I also enjoy finding ways to practice my languages (French and Italian) which are slightly rusty 15 years after my languages degree...) including eating in italian restaurants or watching quirky french films.
I like to think of myself as a slightly hippie, wooden toy-loving bohemian. But most of the time I am simply Mummy, which I love.
I treasure the images I have of my family, and I love creating images which bring joy to others, working with families to create beautiful records of their children and their budding personalities, out in beautiful countryside, at milestone events or simply showing off their passions, often with a sparkly sense of fun along the way. Your children are only small once, and it is so important to create memories of the things that are important to you as a family, whilst you can.
I love photographing outdoors in one of the many beautiful locations we are lucky to have on our doorstep. Some of the best moments also happen in your own surroundings - recording your children at play in your garden, local park or the comfort of your own home. I am happy to discuss and accommodate your preferences as far as possible.
