Frequently Asked Quesrions
When is the best time to book?
It’s best to book as far ahead as possible, as I only book a limited number of sessions per month, so that I am able to offer a premium service to my clients.
How long do they take?
My Family Storytelling photography experience lasts approximately an hour, or until I am happy that we have a lovely selection of images to choose from. We often play it by ear with the children and their mood. I am fairly flexible with timings and like to ensure we all have a relaxed and enjoyable time allowing beautiful natural images to be created.
I also offer “Morning in the Life” sessions when I come and spend around 4 hours with your family in your own home, in a documentary style session, capturing your beautiful everyday. This session can also be on a family outing or special occasion. For more information or to book a “Morning in the Life” session please get in touch with me directly.
What if my child / baby has scratched their face, is a bit jaundiced, or has flaky skin?
No problem...I will be able to enhance any images to make them perfect (including skin colouring, baby milk spots, dry skin, or even large scratches if needed!). I can work my magic on your images.
Do I need to bring anything to the photography session?
Just yourselves, weather appropriate clothing, and potentially a favourite item or two for your little ones. I will talk through all you need to know before your session.
Where do the sessions take place?
Sessions can take place at your favourite location or within your home (within 15 miles of BS39 - please contact me to discuss other locations).
How should I prepare?
When you reserve your date I’ll send you all the information you need on how to get the best out of your session. We’ll also have a friendly chat on the phone about everything you’ll need.
When do I see the images?
We arrange a viewing appointment usually within 14 days after your photography session.
Do you also photograph newborns and older babies?
Absolutely! I LOVE photographing babies. The perfect time to photograph a newborn for those “new to the world” details is within 14 days of birth, whilst they are still tiny weeny! They soon start to rapidly grow and change. But photographs of your baby at any age are just as precious and beautiful. You can see examples of my baby photography on my website: www.photosbyrose.co.uk/babies
What products do you sell?
At your viewing I will help you select your chosen image for your beautiful 10x8" Wall Art panel, included in the session fee. You will also have the option to purchase further products from my luxury range, including Wall Art (fine art frames, canvas wraps, aluminium art and gift items etc), printable images with Copyright on USB or an heirloom album with your favourite images. Prices range from £95 to £785. After your photography session you will receive a product / price guide to take away and look through, in preparation to make your choices at your viewing.
